If you see an error message stating that your credit card is invalid, this has most likely happened for one of the following reasons: 1. You have incorrectly entered your credit card number. 2. Your card is restricted to point-of-sale transactions only (sales where your card is physically scanned). Please double-check your credit card and/or with your bank to ensure that none of these problems have occurred. If you realize that you've made a mistake, simply return to the payment option page and enter in the correct information. Continue checking out as normal. If you're still encountering problems, please contact us. However, at NO point should you ever e-mail us your full credit card number. Your e-mail does not have the same security features in place as the website. If you wish to reference a specific credit card that you already have on file with us, please reference by the order number. If you believe that you have provided us with an incorrect CVV code or expiration date you may send us that corrected information via e-mail referencing by the order number. If you believe that your card was declined due to insufficient funds, but now have those funds available, you may ask that we attempt to charge your credit card again. If you believe that your card is restricted to point-of-sale transactions, you must either contact your bank about removing such restrictions, provide us with a different credit card, or choose a new payment method.
This is due to the internal process we must maintain to properly track your order through the system. Once an order number is assigned you may use it for all future references to that purchase.
PAYMENT: You may pay by cheque to 'Scale Rail Model Centre', credit card or debit card. Visa - Mastercard - Amex-Switch-Solo or Delta. PLACING AN ORDER: Orders can be placed through this secure online web site. Alternatively phone, email or fax your order. It is NOT recommended you email credit card details. Postal orders and cheques are accepted for orders by post. We do not charge the credit or debit cards until we actually send off the goods.
If ordering goods as a gifts or presents, PLEASE check availability as non-stock items might take a while to come back into stock. This can easily be done by calling us on 01293 783558. We do NOT show stock count on our website.
DELIVERY: Stock items are normally dispatched within 2 working days. UK orders are normally despatched by Royal Mail or Parcel Force and are delivered in a few days. Allowance should be made for postal delays beyond our control. With regard to foreign orders- these are despatched within 4 days by Parcel Force or Royal Mail . Orders sent via airmail are usually delivered within a week after despatch and surface mail sometimes takes up to 6 weeks but it is often much quicker than this as the post office sometimes forwards surface mail via airmail.
Non stock, out of stock or new items will follow as soon as stock is available from the suppliers. Please note that for an order consisting of new items yet to be released and items already released and in stock, a separate delivery charge will be made. This is to allow the collectors to place an order and reserve the new items.
UK Post and packing: Under 1 kilo £4.00 Over 1 kilo £8.00, excluding Train sets, Sundeala Boards, Trestles, and Baseboards for which additional delivery applies as follows: Train Set (each) £10.00 Baseboards £15.00 per board, Trestles £15.00 per order per pair. Baseboards/trestles orders to Scotland and other outlying areas attract additional charges.Please call us to confirm these charges.
If unsure of the delivery charges, please feel free to choose the Unsure option and we will charge you the correct postage when the goods are dispatched.
Overseas: Postage at cost rounded to the nearest upward £. Minimum Delivery is £6.00. Please note that orders for track will be sent separately as the Post Office does not accept parcels longer than 60cm for overseas mail and this will put up the shipping charges higher. If unsure, please e-mail us in advance to obtain an estimated delivery cost.
Re-Stocking Fees:
In case of items ordered in error, we will charge a
Minimum of 15% of the Value of Goods, as well as the P & P Charges.
For locomotives and digital control goods, we reserve the right to charge up to
50% of the Value. In case of doubt, please call us to clarify.
PLEASE NOTE THAT WE RESERVE THE RIGHT TO CHARGE THE CORRECT POSTAGE AND PACKAGING IF AN INCORRECT OPTION IS CHOSEN WHILE FILLING OUT THE CHECKOUT FORM.
